We need to convert our desktop application to a web app …

Boise’s clients had been using their proprietary desktop Windows application to assist them in making saw operations decisions … particularly around optimizing cuts. I individually coded and converted the UI visualization of the cut solutions using vanilla .NET 4 MVC, HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript with drag and drop capabilities. I enjoyed the challenge of being the first in my organization to stretch the possibilities of what can be accomplished and visualized on a data-driven website using HTML5/CSS/JavaScript.

In addition to the initial conversion stated above … I’ve individually done the following during my engagement with Boise: (1) Coded key metric data capturing using SQL Server version tables, views, and Stored Procedures. (2) Created UI (front-end-only) versioning capability of a user’s changes using vanilla JavaScript and HTML5 with key metrics captured for each version to compare. (3) Architected and created the technical design instructions to capture HTML5 user metadata using Json objects and storing them in a new SQL table for reporting purposes. (4) Project managed and proposed Azure DevOps structure to clearly track and communicate bugs, enhancements, and infrastructure requests. (5) Implemented Blue/Green deployment based on AWS EC2 instances and Azure DevOps release pipelines.
